This is how we manage projects!

Smart manufacturing Kick off

At the beginning of your project journey, we initiate a project kickoff meeting to set the foundation for success. During this crucial step, we discuss the project background, align on fundamental expectations, and review our design proposal. We also establish a comprehensive project plan, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged. Our meticulous approach to the kickoff meeting guarantees a clear and unified vision, laying the groundwork for a successful partnership.

Upon receiving the User Requirement Specification (URS) from the customer, we develop a tailored business proposal that addresses their specific needs. Our proposal includes a detailed quotation, along with a high-level project plan and timeline, ensuring complete transparency and alignment. We work closely with our clients to refine the proposal as needed, creating a solid foundation for the successful execution of the project.

During the business approval stage, we work with our clients to finalize all necessary documentation and agreements. Depending on the project nature, we can serve as either a direct contractor or subcontractor. Once both parties reach a mutual understanding, a Purchase Order (PO) is released, and the sales agreement is signed. This step marks the official commencement of the project, with a clear and binding agreement outlining the roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all parties involved.

OT system architecture, OPC UA

The Design Lock step is a crucial phase where we collaborate with the customer and the IT team to finalize the system architecture and network infrastructure. We meticulously review all details, ensuring that every aspect is carefully considered and documented. Our expertise in automation retrofit allows us to address any required upgrades or modifications. Once all parties are satisfied with the design, we lock it in, paving the way for a seamless transition to the execution phase.

OPC UA design
OPC UA server coding

During the Coding and Configuration phase, our team develops the OPC server and clients based on the agreed-upon system architecture. Whether we implement a centralized or decentralized system depends on the established model. We can create both generic OPC servers and standardized OPC servers, as specified by working groups within the OPC Foundation (such as OPC UA TMC for the tobacco industry). Our expertise in automation retrofit ensures we can efficiently address any necessary upgrades for older machines, ensuring seamless integration with modern systems.

In the Commissioning phase, we conduct a series of tests following the agreed-upon commissioning protocol. Our primary objective is to ensure that the existing automation, safety, and process systems remain unaffected by the implementation. Next, we collaborate with the IT team to perform performance, reliability, and network security tests for data transmission. This thorough evaluation guarantees the successful integration of our solutions without compromising the established systems and processes.

smart manufacturing commissioning
smart manufacturing project closure

Upon successful commissioning, we move towards project closure. During this final phase, we update the documentation to reflect any deviations and feedback received. We ensure that the local team is well-trained in maintenance procedures, and the system has been standardized for global scalability. Once all parties agree that the project objectives have been met and all requirements are fulfilled, the project is officially closed, marking the successful completion of our collaboration.
